Hi.

I'm recording my adventures in exploring my mother's food, my own food adventures and sometimes travel. That is Tyson, getting in the way as usual.

Snacks from the Philippines

Snacks from the Philippines

A coworker returned from the Philppines recently and brought us a couple snacks. The peanut brittle in the jar looked packed full. But upon opening, this is what I saw.

They were very tricky about it. I do have to say though, later my coworker, hit the jar to loosen up the side pieces and when those broke up, it actually filled the jar failry nicely. It was a thin brittle and chewier once softened and full of peanuts. A really good piece of peanut brittle. Just the way I like it.

The other jar tasted like breakfast.

These were basically clusters of cornflakes covered in either white, milk or dark chocolate. They all tasted like eating cereal, the ones geared towards children. Not a bad thing, they were quite good. But still very reminiscent of kid’s cereal.
