Is Sushi Really a Light Meal?
We had tickets to Prima Facie for a few weeks now to see Jodie Comer’s one-woman show, especially after rave reviews in London’s West End. We had about 3 hours prior to the show to have dinner, far more than we needed. I had a late lunch and a filling one at that, so I wasn’t too hungry. Somehow we landed on sushi which I guess is supposed to be a light meal? Either way, I did not order too much so I guess it worked out.
We were walking by Fushimi, and decided to try it out. Started with edamame, which for some reason I have not ordered in quite some time, but this reminds me I should do so more often.
Afterwards I only ordered 1 roll and my companion ordered 2.
They call this the Mummy roll. it has shrimp tempura and cucmber, topped with lobster, avocado, seared pepper tuna and a mango sauce. Quite tasty. My companion went with the Angry Dragon (shrimp tempura, avocado, topped with spicy kani. citrus sweet miso) and the Fire & Ice (spicy tuna, cream cheese, white tuna, avocado, jalapeno & snow crab wrapped with rice paper, then lightly fried. topped with crispy beet, spicy aioli, wasabi aioli, eel sauce & Thai chili sauce).
I enjoyed the quality of the food here a lot and it’s nice to know that it exists. They also have a prix fixe set lunch menu that may be worth walking a little further for.
