Hi.

I'm recording my adventures in exploring my mother's food, my own food adventures and sometimes travel. That is Tyson, getting in the way as usual.

Chopped Cheese Part 2

Chopped Cheese Part 2

I was lucky enough to win free tickets to an advance screening of The Last of Us premiere episode on HBOMax. The initial plan was to have dinner at Rubirosa. It was pouring out and it was a later on a Thursday night. No problem, right? Wrong. It was packed with an 1 hr - 1hr15 wait time. No time for that. Then we tried Parm. Same deal. After walking up and down the street to see what the options were and with the rain coming down harder, my companion and I decided on Bronson’s Burgers. I saw an advertisement for their version of the Chopped Cheese and I had to try it.

Overall verdict? It was not bad, but not as good as Compton’s. The cheese as you can see was sitting on top of everything and not incorporated into the meat which I think makes a much better version of these sandwiches. Sweet potato fries were fairly standard. Ordering at this particular restaurant was done through the QR code on the table and you put your entire order in digitally. The biggest issue with this was that there was no space to put in any sort of comments. I did not want jalapenos on my sandwich, which it supposedly came with, and the only way to let them know was to tell the employee that delivered my drink. Likely an issue with the system they use, but still. Could be better.
