The Day that went (semi) Wrong
It’s not as dramatic as the title sounds. Once again we were fortunate to win lottery tickets to The Play That Goes Wrong for a matinee performance. However, since there were detours from train construction, we ended up 15 minutes late for the performance. Luckily, we were still able to be seated.
Initially we were just going to see the show and go home, but since we went through such an ordeal to get into the city, we decided to also do dinner. After a lot of aimless wandering, we decided on Indian and did what most people do… go to Google and look at the map and find the closest one that had a high rating. That’s how we ended up at Tribhaanga, which was billed as an Indian Nepali Restaurant.
We started with the fried chicken momo.
These dumplings were on the Nepali side of the menu and were packed full with very well seasoned chicken. Really juicy and freshly fried. It came with what they called momo sauce and also a chili sauce.
For entree, my companion went with a Madras Chicken Curry,
with also a Garlic Naan (really light and fluffy and crisp on the bottom). And I wanted to try something off the Nepali menu and went with a safe Honey chicken, which was like chicken tikka masala, but they added honey to it so it was sweeter.
My companion thought our local Indian spot was better, but since I had the Nepali side of the menu, it felt like something different than the typical Indian we usually get.
Prior to dinner, we stopped by Bibble and Sip since the last 2 times I tried to go they were closed. So many cute desserts, I definitely want to go back and check out new items.
I controlled myself this time and only bought 2 things… the Earl Grey Cream Puffl…. was delicious. I would definitely get this again. It was so tasty and completely full of the cream. The little pig was a lychee flavored mousse with a matcha cake inside, and the pink on the outside was a strawberry white chocolate. So yummy. Definitely go visit, I will return to try other baked goods.
