Hi.

I'm recording my adventures in exploring my mother's food, my own food adventures and sometimes travel. That is Tyson, getting in the way as usual.

A Very British Night

A Very British Night

This year is the 5th anniversary of when Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway. My companion has been wanting to see the show, so when I heard about the $5 ticket in-person lottery, we had to go try at least. I saw the show when it first came to Broadway and was still in 2 parts. It was quite a time commitment and was a full day event, but we had an 8 person group attending, so it was pretty fun, with a break inbetween shows for dinner at John’s.

Anyways, in addition to 50 $5 tickets, they also had a bunch of Funko pops, lego sets, book sets and a PS5 available to win. When we got down to 10 tickets remaining, I thought we were out of luck, but I spoke too soon, because my companion won the tickets! I still ended up winning a whole bunch of nothing, but that’s okay. The seats were 3rd row orchestra, really great.

For a quick dinner before the show, we decided to go back to Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips. This time I went with what they called a “Fishwich” thinking it would be your typical fish sandwich. Nope.

they were basically 2 pitas each with a large piece of fried fish and slaw. They were really tasty, but not at all what I expected. Maybe next time I’ll finally try one of their milkshakes. A Biscoff cookie one? Yes please.
